Counterfeit Justice

Counterfeit Justice (The Roger Brinkman Series #2)

Preacher Roger Brinkman’s attempt to fulfill a brother’s promise proves to be more than a blessed event.

Roger knew the trip from New Mexico to Galveston, Texas, would be harsh. However, he was shocked at the greeting he would get from his brother, U.S. Marshal Nik Brinkman.

Instead of a joyful reunion, the two are held captive onboard a smuggler’s ship. They are taken hostage with a massive silver shipment bound for the United States Treasury.

To capture a gang of counterfeiters, Nik must convince Roger to replace his clerical collar with a gun. Roger faces his toughest challenge yet when he ends up on a train bound for murder.

Will this be a joyful reunion? Or, will their encounter full of crime, chaos, and conspiracy, be their last?

Follow the Brinkman brothers as they pursue justice in the Wild West with the Bible and the badge.

About Tim W. James

Tim W. James has been a writer since grade school. In third grade, he wrote a script and produced a play on ghosts and gold, inspired by the Old West stories of Wyoming where he grew up.

An athlete in high school and college, he eventually became a sports editor for two Gold Country Media publications in the Sacramento area of Northern California.

James’s early interest in scriptwriting led him to write and direct A Devilish Tale, which was judged Best Film of the Year by the Northern California Amateur Filmmakers Association. He followed with a parody production of Star Trek, which was requested by the organizers of a Star Trek convention held in Sacramento.

He began working with his brother, the head of TVL Video Productions in San Diego, to help write and direct productions on gold prospecting. They followed with a segment of Emmett Harder’s book These Canyons are Full of Ghosts and a philosophy/theology study on the decision to suspend life support titled Ice Cream for Tom.

James lives in Northern California with his wife, daughter, and three dogs. When not writing, he continues his passion for athletics by playing golf and watching his favorite sports teams.
