About Mary Shelly
Mary Shelly (1797–1851) wrote Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus, one of the most influential monster books to this day. Her work has been translated into many languages and is well-known throughout the world. It has been adapted into dozens of movies, plays, parodies, adaptations, and television series. The name Frankenstein is still used in modern vernacular, solidifying Shelly’s status as a literary giant.
